Special Needs

At First Church, we believe that grace, love, and a relationship with Jesus are for everyone, regardless of ability. That’s why we’re committed to creating spaces where individuals with special needs can Know, Worship, and Serve Jesus in meaningful ways.

Elementary Age
In our elementary environments, we prioritize inclusion whenever possible. At the 9:30 AM service at each of our locations, we offer one-on-one support through our Buddies program. Buddies partner with children who have special needs, allowing parents and guardians to attend service while their child is cared for in a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment. Each campus is also equipped with a sensory room, offering a quiet and calming space for children who need additional support.

Middle School and Older – Unified Service
For students and young adults with special needs, we offer a monthly worship service called Unified. More than just a gathering, Unified brings together individuals with and without special needs for a shared time of worship, friendship, and community. It’s a celebration of inclusion and belonging.

Unified meets every 3rd Sunday at 9:30 AM at our Burlington Campus.
